The best way to tell if this is your problem is to push down on the floor around the drain.
Shower water goes under the adjacent floor.
Leaking drainpipes in a shower or a bathroom plug will let water underneath tile.
If you need to use the shower then just duct tape the seam to keep water out for one.
Water on the floor also can lead to serious long term extensive problems such as mold or rot damage deep within.
The question is whether the water accumulates even if you don t use the shower.
