The only benefit i see with siding with the dawnguard is not getting pestered by dawnguard soldiers for what feels like everytime i use fast travel. But have heard that the vampire side of the dawnguard questlne is infinitely more interesting than siding with dawnguard. But the limitations of the dawnguard meshes and the lack of voice actors scripting quest making the passing of my brother in 2016 and life in general kinda sunk those plans. I thought it would be awesome to be a vampire lord but i m not a fan of the powers it gives you plus the whole weakness to the sun was a major negative.
